The ecological approach

RECYCLING OF MATERIALS

The earthwork products from the structures to be built were recycled on the site itself.
Reused as road sub-base, manufacture of substrate, nothing was wasted

  • 400,000 tonnes processed (production of fines, gravel and ballast)
  • Reuse of infrastructure RD 56, Chemin des Crouis and primary internal roads

SPECIFICATIONS OF THE FUNCTIONAL CONSTRAINTS OF THE SITE

  • Integrated at the beginning of the operation
  • Organisation and defined means to be implemented to preserve the environment and reduce the impacts linked to this type of activity

This means that both Terre Blanche and any owner of land within the resort must strictly adhere to environmentally friendly rules and methods for any construction project.

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

By following the ZAC (Zone d'Activité Commerciale) specifications and construction provisions, Terre Blanche has put in place provisions for the protection and monitoring of environmental impacts, both during construction and operation.

OBJECTIVES

  • Checking compliance with the specifications and the implementation of compensatory measures
  • Propose additional measures to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, particularly in terms of impact on fauna and flora and hydrological impact

The Land Transfer Booklet

Terre Blanche offers several plots for sale. Any purchaser can thus benefit from exclusive advantages, but must comply with strict rules regarding respect for the environment and the beauty of the site.

The Land Transfer Book and Annexes therefore provide, among other things, for the respect of precise provisions in terms of methodology and constructive organisation for any purchaser, in particular in terms of neutrality of the impact on the environment and any compensatory measures that may result from this.

Terre Blanche Resort

The construction principles of Terre Blane Hotel have favoured:

- Manual-portable materials, avoiding the use of environmentally destructive tower cranes

- The reduction of storage areas to preserve natural spaces

- Natural non-polluting materials

- Ready-to-use materials
(concrete, glue, etc.) to eliminate any risk of pollution on site

The architectural and technical design of the installations favoured adaptation to the ground and the creation of crawl spaces to reduce excavations, backfill areas and any destructive impact on the environment and remarkable trees (oak trees, etc.).
